This full qualification is for those who want to build on a FETC in any field or to enter the field of ODETD as a potential career and have little or no previous exposure to ETD. The qualification will also be valuable for those who may have been practising within the field, but without formal recognition. Practitioners will generally carry out their role within the context of:
Persons aspiring to works as qualified teachers or trainers within the sector of education and training.
Practitioners applying to enter a learning programme for this ETD standard - or applying to be assessed against this ETD standard - are assumed to have a qualification or equivalent competence in an occupation in which they will practice this ETD competence.
Learners are required to participate fully in group and individual learning activities throughout the workshop. Learners are also encouraged to identify and express their specific learning needs and to contribute freely from their own experience. During the 25 days contact session, the facilitator also focus on change management and motivational aspects, as we’ve identified these issues as key areas of SAQA and implementing the NQF.
Participants will prepare a Portfolio of Evidence for assessment against Unit Standards they are enrolled for. The submission date for the portfolios will be determined on an individual bases with each learner.
